Optimum Futurist celebrates 5th Year Anniversary

Five is a number that is often associated with change, the ability to adapt and thrive in different situations. As Optimum Futurist marked its fifth birthday on September 12, 2021, we felt that the number accurately reflected our journey so far. Despite the hardships and uncertainties we faced over the years, achieving this milestone filled us with pride and joy.

So we thought this was a cause for celebration. In addition, we also wanted to show appreciation to our employees for their hard work.

So, for our 5th Anniversary celebration, we traveled to Himalaya Drishya Resort at Dhulikhel, a two-day retreat for everyone to enjoy.

The first day

The goal for the trip was simple - have fun and get familiar with one another.

We arrived in the office at 1:30 PM, filled with excitement and anticipation. Then, after a quick and briefing, we left for Dhulikhel on a bus. The ride was full of not-so-melodious rounds of Antakshari game play and roars of laughter. Finally, after three hours of songs and laughter, we arrived at around 5 PM.

The hotel staff greeted us warmly and handed over keys to our respective rooms. After freshening up, we met up in the hall. The hall was where the informal session began. Many of our newer employees and employees' friends and families accompanied us. So started with a quick round of introduction. Then, we played numerous games like the musical chair and blind man's buff. These games were an excellent ice-breaker for all of us.

By the time we wrapped up with the games, it was time for dinner. After an ambrosial meal, we proceeded with the formal session. First, our founder, Shekhar Sharma, formally introduced himself to the team. He then gave us a brief recount of his experiences since the company's inception. He then shared a short yet inspiring speech, where he talked about his plans for the company's future. After that, we proceeded to the cake cutting ceremony.

The employee of the year

This year, Bijay was named the employee of the year. We awarded him with a plaque that had his name engraved on it.

After wrapping up the award ceremony, we played some more games. Then, finally, we ended the first day on a high note- with a BBQ cookout.

Second day

Despite the previous day's busy schedule, our enthusiasm didn't dwindle on the second day. First, we had a hearty breakfast. After that, we proceeded to the hall to play some more games. As time went on, we came closer to the end of our excursion. So, we moved to the last segment of our trip- the award distribution ceremony. We awarded all of the winners for different games with different prizes.

After wrapping up the award ceremony, we finally headed back home in joyous moods. A few game winners from fifth anniversary program

To say that our fifth-anniversary celebration was a success would be an understatement. The office retreat lighted up the workplace environment the next day. We look forward to another adventure in the days to come.
